Welcome to Love, Grayson: The Blog! I am so happy that you are here and reading these words. I pray this blog and the posts inside will help encourage you and give you strength. For times of joy, contentment, sorrow, and sadness, we all need to know that there is a God who loves us. Who died for us. and Who continues to pursue us each day. And He desires that we live a life of abandon through His grace and freedom. Free to love and be loved, to live without fear of the future.
The posts you will read here are all letters. Letters written to you. Letters from a very wise (and wild) horse. I know what you must be thinking. His penmanship, right? I mean come on, the hooves aren’t exactly ergonomic. Ha!
Ok, so I’ll share the real story behind Grayson. The incredible inspiration behind all of this. I’m a city girl, who grew up country.. and for those of you who are the same, you know it never truly leaves you. My family owns a home on a beautiful lake next to a horse farm with stunning thoroughbreds. For years, the horses all looked the same. Brown coats, brown manes, identical. Until one morning, I was driving by the farm (admiring the white picket fence below) and I spotted a gray horse with a white mane. Running free. Wild and untamed. A wildflower amidst them all. I immediately stopped. And cried. I don’t know what made me so emotional, other than just watching another life that God created completely abandoned and free. Just to be able to observe his joy, created some of my own. I then decided that this horse had to be mine. I wasn’t going to purchase it, or interfere with its new home by somehow buying my own farm and raising it there, but emotionally…this horse was my horse. And every day that I see him, he reminds me to live as if God has removed every chain, every fear, every doubt… because He has. Live wild and free. Live… like Grayson.

Looking forward to sharing these letters from Grayson, sharing my heart, and learning from YOU in return. May you be encouraged in your walk with God and reminded of your worth daily.
All my love,
Kristina
